About The different tones of grey intrigued me, and when I saw a bird entering the scene, I thought it was time for a picture.

Wonderful image with an awesome atmosphere. Very good composition. It is just too small.

I'll try and find the negative and blow it up. I will also try and pay more attention to the size of the images I upload in the future. Thanks for the very kind comment.

Well, this is a splendid photo. The fact you made it on a fine film and good camera deserves a seven
wished it was a little larger.

... well, thank you !!!! You are too kind. (Really, you are!)
I usually hear that the bird is too small, but you are one of the first to see that the lovely grey-tones are really what this picture is about. The bird is there to add some life and perspective.

wow...... Aernout

This looks like an Old World painting. I adore it.The grain, contrast and pose set a calm, sensual atmosphere.
It's a thing of beauty!!!!
I wanted to be that bird flying in that beautiful place:)

Ethereal nature strikes again.. a moody, atmospheric image !!I would prefer it were larger but still I can imagine being there!

Aernout,

the image is nice indeed. Good composition, and a very fine mood. But if I were you, I would rescan it and post it a bit larger. Take also care about the white ouline around the bird, which is quite disturbing. And please, clone out the dust specks on the right of the image :-)

Regards.
