well, then it's my turn for a big DUH, Donna! i didn't get the irony..er, i mean, i DID get it, but didn't appreciate it! i thought, why'd she shoot this with this dumb fence post in the middle? Didn't she see it? haha, i'm so sorry! All the while this thing hit me in the head, it still didn't wake me up and give me a clue! well there's one thing i'm noticing on my return trip here that i didn't see the other night..the way the barbed wire follows the contour of the hillside. That's VERY cool! And you express yourself perfectly with your words..doncha worry, chica! I'll keep my fingers crossed for that new monitor you're hoping to find under the Christmas tree..su amiga, kathie~

Kathleen, I'm smiling, because the way you say it makes you feel was my intent! My soft-spokeness comes across, I suppose. I made a statement in "about" hoping to get across the feeling of how sometimes mankind subjects us to that being "hit right between the eyes". Donna, in this one i have to say i do not like the dark fence post cutting straight through the image diagonally. i can actually feel that post hit me right between the eyes and it keeps me from appreciating the golden glowing warmth of the pasture and the mountains beyond. And it's a shame too because the undulating curves of the hillside and the attractive tree line want to lead me straight to those purple mountains, except that i can't go there because that pole is stuck in my forehead ;))) i'm sorry, i wish i could say differently..kat~
