About This series is also a result from our photography workshop at Zollverein (http://www.zeche-zollverein.de) One of the assignments was to make a series of 5 characteristic elements in the area of this former coal mine. This is number one - the coal wash plant. A part has been restored and turned into a museum now. In the series I used the omnipresent vegetation as a connecting element. It is trying very hard to overgrow everything and to wipe out all traces of the past.
