About Driving past this little guy today, I couldn't help but stop, turn around and see if he'd let me get close enough to take his photo. Well, he was more than happy to come right up to me and pose for about 5 shots! Photoshop was used only to sharpen the scan to more closely match the print. No cropping or color adjustments were made, and his eyes are really that blue.

Nice capture of that smile on his face where he's saying "is this woman for real?" Very cute pic!

Looks like you used the widest angle on the Sure Shot lense... What a firtatious cutie!
Maybe begging for a treat?

What a beautiful horse! What a great picture. I love the angle you shot this at. The depth is so interesting and really adds to the shot. His eye is beautiful and just matches the sky. Great!

The colors are very rich and deep. What a nice profile, and those eyes, wow! I like how you arranged the barbed wire going diagonally, and included the background fences to get an idea of the surroundings. I've gotten away from the vertical format (portrait format?) this year and gotten into using squares from using the Holga and Yashicamat, so it's kind of refreshing to see a vertical. Next time you see him, give him an apple for me.

Knowing how dificult it is to capture animals, I think you did a great job here!

Christine, Great shot! It looks almost surreal in a way.. The blue eyes are incredible.

Greg & Roy, thanks for your comments!

Ryan, I have one where he's a little more to the left in the photo, but I managed to chop off his ears, burn out his face and fuzz up the focus because I was so close. He was moving towards me the whole time and I only had my point & shoot camera -- I still haven't figured out that parallax! I was focusing on his eye, but I wasn't sure if I should put it dead-center, or off-center, so I chose off-center since that's new for me. I'm trying to move beyond my bulls eye mentality... Just not tooo far beyond ;-)

And I don't mind your comments, even if you are new! I haven't been here that long myself.

I love the look and feel of this photo. Nicely done. I probably would've had the horse a lil more to the left if I took it, but I am new :P\
