About	This photo of the stairs going up the exterior of the keeper's residence at the St Augustine, Florida lighthouse was shot on a very sunny afternoon. I ended up waiting for a while to get the shadow of the stair treads on the brick wall beneath the stiars to give me the strong graphic element that I wanted in the image with the shadows more or less perpendicular to the angle of the filght of stairs. I wanted the star in the upper left to counterbalance, at least to a small extent, the shadows in the lower right.
