love the reflection.. and the tone.. like the bridge
it is sort of busy.. as stated before, cropping may help but I wonder if it is also because of the tone. Not sure how it looked in color. But the sepia does enhance the bridge and the reflection so not sure if it would look better in color or not...

Beautiful reflections and tones! Super detail! The reflections are so clear and real that the first time I glanced at this photo I didn't know what I was seeing! Excellent capture! Carolyn

Really moody shot, Gayle. Gives good impression of ancient times, well done! reflections are great. I personally would give the upper area a tad more room to breathe. good one anyway. cheers, thilo

Nice one Gayle,
A line in long array where they wind betwixt green islands, They take a serpentine course, their arms flash in the sun-hark to the musical clank, Behold the silvery river, in it the splashing horses loitering stop to drink, Behold the brown-faced men, each group, each person a picture, the negligent rest on the saddles, Some emerge on the opposite bank, others are just entering the ford-while, Scarlet and blue and snowy white, The guidon flags flutter gaily in the wind.
Cavalry crossing a ford - Walt Whitman
Maybe Jim will recognise it also...:) Best wishes and congrats on a nice photo, Neil

Gayle I took it abit further than just the crop on the left to show more more emphasis on your subject and also rid the oof branches on the lower right...letting the creek carry the eye of the viewer thru the image... (different strokes for different folks).

hi,Dave..thanks for comment..i considered that very crop, but thought it would destroy the extended water line that moves to the left and gives more direction to the bridge..i could have cloned out the bldg.peeking through, but was having problem with the grass looking so pixelated and i never sharpened,so was afraid to do anything but desat and then tone...gayle

Nice reflection and toning.. i do think that a small crop on the left up to the first tree would rid the building and put more emphasis on your subject.
