About A westward forest fire made it safe to shoot the sun in bright red colors. Unfortunately I know I could have done better with different film and a longer lens, and a more steady tripod. This is about 50% cropped. I had the opportunity here for a dramatic photo, and the result is a pale disappointment.

The reason it's pale in comparison to the real deal is your film choice. For landscapes, never shoot with film that's faster than 100. Really, you should use Velvia and a cable release and this scene would have turned out much better. Keep shootin'
