True story....when I was 8, I was picked off first in a little league game. I heard my grand father yell from the stands, "Ya need a cup of coffee to keep you awake?" And my father, who was manager glared at me and in very low, clipped tones said, "If you ever do that again I will put you so far out in rightfield you will need a ticket to see the game." 37 years later.....I was never picked off again. I bet this guy slid into the tag. I bet the first baseman dropped his glove and had time to smoke a cigar and tell a joke. That guy must have been out by 3 feet.
