Well reading your decription my impression of eternity or "timeless place" is reinforced. IR works extremely good for such kind of photos, seducing "timeless" ;-)
My goodness. Older even than the Redwoods! What a fascinating thought... IR gives your pictures a very distinctive look. When it works, it's very impressive, but I'm not so sure of it here. Perfect exposure, though, with the details of surface roughness just showing in that white plastered wall.
