Thanks Emmanuel for the nice comment. The only photoshop work was color correction and sharpening. The heron in the foreground was actually there but the light was low, he was backlit, I had no fill flash so he came out as a sillouette. Jorg commented that he looked fake but he was really there:)

I like the atmosphere in this picture, the reddish tint of the morning sun and the overall composition, dramatic sky, calm water and the woods and house looking as if they were still sleeping, the reflections on the water all great. The silouhette of the egret looks artificial to me and is a little distracting. It would have used fill flash to show a some more detail. Regards JorgRegards Jorg
