About This was taken along the beach. I particularly like the way the light interacted with her golden hair.

Mike, I never even noticed she didn't have any catchlights in her eyes. That is weird. Then again, I do know she wanted her eyes to appear rather dark, so maybe she is wearing opaque contacts. ;-)

I keep meaning to try out a reflector but really haven't gotten that advanced yet (these shots were all done within the past 4-5 months). I am still thinking about taking a photography course, or if nothing else, a course in basic image editing.

Thanks,
Pradeep

Pradeep,

Good use of back lighting. A reflector or white form board in front of your model would have brightened up her face and added some catch lights in her eye. Still a nice portrait.

Beautifully soft effect, and spectacular color. I think the dark look of her eyes contrasts well with the bright light of the halo. Well done!

Howie, thanks for pointing out the "halo" effect. That was the word I was looking for.

Kevin, you're correct to point out I used a bit of softness. I liked the halo effect around her face and the way it created a bit of a frame, so I didn't want the water behind her to compete and instead used a slight mask to fade the water, especially near the borders. The whole purpose of the mask and the softness was to turn this into a dream-like vision, a "Water Nymph". ;-)

Beatiful model with great facial expression. I really like the softness and the lighting you used on the model. I just find the lighting in the background is to overexposed and very distracting. Other then that, great shot. Keep up the good work.

Very beautiful girl and I also like the backlighting which is creating a halo effect which is very nice.
