About I took this at sunset on 22/10/2004. I really like the fence that adds foreground interest and leads the eye into the image.

Ian - Excellent landscape composition. The fence is a great subject and all the better with the reflection. Is it me or is the horizon a little tilted? keep sharing the good work.

Cheers, Allan.

You are totally right.. that fence is the secret of the picture, without it it would not say much...
Great composition.. I can hear the silence.

Terrible Good!
I want to steal David Wade's words: why are my eyes "not as good as yours?".
Congratulations!

Thanks for all your positive comments, guys! I haven't really been taking photos for very long and this is probably my best photo yet. Your positive feedback has really encouraged me to carry on taking photos.

Very nice, Ian. Having just come back from the northern Lakes, I can relate to this shot. Surprisingly, having been to the Lakes regularly for years, I hadn't explored the lakeside at Derwent Water until this year. I posted the first of a few images last night.

Berautiful photo. I like the way the fence leads the viewer to the center of the photo. Nice depth colour and reflection.
