About	My first proper attempt at a panning shot and I'm actually quite pleased with my results. It took a number of attempts for my little bro to go in the right place at a fast enough speed but we got there eventually! Comments and suggestions always welcome.

Very good capture indeed capturing all the action. I think the crop is rather too tight and not only the bike but also the child is cropped off.

Problem with panning in digital is that there is actually a delay between the shutter release press and the actual time of picture taking. In some cameras it is annoyingly long.

Anyway overall an excellent result.

Ian,

Not bad for a first attempt. I think you need some slightly better control on the vertical movement(not easy as you are doing a downhill shot). If you have a tripod you might want to try the panning along the horizontal axis with that.
