Streets and leaf veins follow the same parameters: getting traffic to a trunk throughfare in an optimal matter from a 2-D surface, so it's not surprising that they start to look simular.
A hand, yeah - I see that. Lots of neat stuff in the natural details when you take time to look at it...

I've been house hunting too long, they look like house lots on a map, with the streets running all over it. subdivisions. Also to some extent has the feel of looking at an old persons hand. I like the snow background, changes things up.
