Thanks for the info Gord. I usually shoot with an orange filter to boost the contrast of the BW400CN and Tri-X films I use. Those films have a lot less contrast than the T-Max series. I am not into darkroom yet, just learning.

Hi Richard,
No, no filters what so ever when I took the shot. I develop my own b/w prints at a local photo club. I usually use filters when I print so in reality, I guess I did use a filter. (Kodak red filter # 3)
Thank you.

Nicely framed shot. The fallen tree leads right to the subject. Did you use a filter on this?

Thanks again. The only reason I got on the property is because the farm belongs to my Dad's brother. Arnprior is my home town. I wanted to get some shots (took a whole roll) before she caved in. Have a great week!

I knew it!!! I've driven past it so many times that I had to try, so I took some long off shots last year, just before we had that large wind storm that blew the roof off. I didn't want to go on the property without permission since the farmer had his cows out. You nailed that one perfectly! Congrats!

Thank you Shane! This farm house (what's left of it now) is located on Hwy 17 (old Hwy 17 now) about 10 kms or so east of Arnprior. Right at the Mississippi Bridge.

Beautiful capture! You've really set the mood with your perspective of this building. Great job.

I like this shot' The forground is very strong, and the tree branch frames the main subject.
I bet this place could tell a story or two about past days and long forgotten people.
