This is a typical evening in dowtown Sendai. Taxis, girls in school uniform, lights in all the buildings, a city winding down. Taken with an early 1980's P&S Minolta HiMatic AFD I bought at a second-hand store for about $6. Scanned with a Minolta Scan Dual IV.
Hi Taran, thanks for the critique. The softness is just the camera. It's an autofocus point and shoot with nothing manual. It chooses the focus, the exposure, and takes the picture. Flash pictures look similar to images made with a Holga. Rather soft, with very soft edges.
Stephen - always interesting to see how another part of the world lives. There is a lot of information here! Perhaps a bit of lightening to bring out the girls, and crop out some of the street... Thanks for adding to my knowledge of Japan. Amy
