Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm currently LUSTING after a Canon 20d, but I'm having to ease the wife into the notion of spenind THAT much on 'a camera'.
It's a decent photo I guess, but I had to crop so much out of it to make it worth something I can make about a 2x3" print out of it now. I love digital, don't get me wrong, but can't afford it at the moment. Me and trusty scanner do most of the pics here, this one I did with an A40 that I recently gave away. My wife sports a Powershot G2 which is a great camera, but it's no SLR.
