Hi Evelyn... thanks for the comments... I posted another shot from the same roll, uncropped but centered differently... let me know what you think. I just like the way he was posed in the other shot, in amongst the background and blended. Unfortunately with the long lens, it's hard to get good DOF at that exposure. Thanks again, Kerry

Hi, Kerry. Welcome to Usefilm! I took a look and you obviously live or go to where there are some wonderful opportunities to photograph wildlife! I would suggest with this one that you crop it down to better showcase this handsome owl. The large soft-focus area to the left of the owl doesn't help draw the eye to the star of the show. I did one crop to show what I mean - not necessarily the exact one you might choose, but...

A wonderful capture . . . and in the wild, no less. The long lens certainly did a fine job, and the compostion--showing the surroundings--is excellent as well. Regards, --George
