About A shot of the New York, New York Casino in Las Vegas.

The shot needed something, and when the couple moved into the corner, I saw that was it. No cropping...just levels and exxagerated 3D perspective added.

That's one thing I LOVE about my 20D...the ability to 'change rolls of film' with the flip of the rotary dial, combined with very low noise at high speeds makes this a VERY powerful camera indeed.

The noise IS there, and after shooting a while, I can quickly see in my imagery at roughly what speed I was shooting at, but the noise is so minimal and subtle, it's easy to clean it up without affecting any of the qualities of the image.

Love this night shot - where's the noise?!
The outline is so clean and there is so much colour in it, and you've done a really good job with the exposure.

LOL!
I intentionally skewed it to make perspective worse; I guess I can try to straighten the lines and see what I get then.

Paul this is wonderful, I love the illumination of this magnificent building, which is very impressive in itself...I love all the detail you captured, the image is very crisp and the clarity very good. I think it's great without the couple, either way, I would love to see this again using a perspective control lens...very nicely done....:):)Linda

a very well calculated exageration that gave the image a very nice touch

Mark, most of the strip is relatively recent, and continally growing outward to the airport and beyond. However, on the other side of The Strip, downtown, there's still a LOT of kitsch.

(DOH! I never thought about walking the OTHER direction this last time).

Dear Paul, first of all, great title. Nice shot of a place I haven't been to for so long that all this new stuff they have there I've only seen through pictures. I just find the whole concept SO strange....Oh well, nice work you did here as far as the photography goes. I think they should have left the old Vegas Hotels intact (from the Rat Pack days) and since it's a desert with never ending land (I assume) they could have built this new copy stuff on virgin land. All those old hotels they demolished were kinda cool in a kitchy sort of way I think. Nice work, Mark 7/7

Paul, that is awesome. The couple works well with it also. Great work as always.
