Mirror Lake,Yosemite. I will also post B/W image of the above image.
Mirror lake is very faous due to potential of getting a picture with reflection of Half Dome. I hoped to got a reflection of Half Dome in Mirror Lake but due to low water level there were many islands formed not giving proper "mirror image" of half dome. Add to that was high wind and I was bit disappoited to forgo Half Dome reflection. Instead, I saw a portion of stagnent water which was relatively non-effected by high wind and result is this photo.
I had polarizer attached to the lens which made it possible to have long exposure in the middle of the day.
Very nice. This is where I first got into photography. I took one shot of Mirror Lake and got hooked. You did a nice job. I like the black and white version very much. I think it works better given the intensity of the lighting.
