Just returned from a business trip to Israel and had the chance of adding a whole day of sightseeing/picture taking to the itinerary - including Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Jaffa at night. Should be able to post more photos soon.
This is a night shot of an alley in Jaffa, a suburb/part of Tel Aviv.
Picture details: Aperture: f3.5, shutter: 1/15s, focal length: 18mm, no flash, no tripod.
Thank you very much for your continued feedback, Larry.
Interesting that you say it could be construed a painting. A good friend of us is a painter and she has recently taken a look at my Usefilm portfolio. She is going to paint several of the shots using various painting techniques.
Once she is done, I hope to be able to post some side-by-side.
This is really well done, Jurgen. Your exposure is spot on in very difficult circumstances. You were able to get enough light on the path without having the lamp blow out the top. I'm impressed.
