About One light. Even at f22 it is hard to keep all reflections in focus. The top one hovered over the lens like a hologram, hard to appreciate with the uniocular vision of a camera.

beautiful - as it is! If you want everything to be in focus, you could try taking several pictures with a different focus, using a tripod, and then digitally combining those?
I happen to appriciate the bass / cello playing of your namesake a lot!

Very interesting shot, did you plan this out or just happen to see it and feel the need we all do? Great photo regardless.

Hi Dave! Thanks for your comment a month or two ago on my Golden Puppy shots... they were a blast to photograph, but hard to come home without any more!
I haven't really been on Usefilm much since last year... life is just too busy right now, and my photography has taken a back seat. Who knows, with summer on its way maybe I'll pick it back up again.
I love the repeating patterns in this shot.. the lines of the lampshade really draw me in, and make me take a closer look at the colours and shapes. Love the title too... it looks like an eye, albeit an alien one!

That's the great thing about feedback, you see things that didn't even occur to you. Jim, until you pointed it out I didn't appreciate noise, but of course now it jumps out at me. I was struggling to get better DOF with medoicre indoor lighting, and pushed the ISO a little too far. Hence the noise. Those dots are each internal reflections from a single overhead light, and some hover above the lens like a hologram. Even at f22 I couldn't get it all in focus.

Exceptional image. I like the natural design created by the reflections. The one thing that does bother me though is the digital noise in the image. Less that I think this would be perfect. Depending on your platform I would recommend NoiseNinja or NeatImage.

very creative abstract, the reflections drifting in and out of focus look very appealing to me, the perspective is nice. well done..

I like this but I think creative de-focus would create an even more intriguing image.

Neat abstract, Dave. You are indeed a traveler... moving smoothly from the Rocky Mountains to the surface of your lens, open to beauty, wherever it appears. Good work.
