About: I first became interested in photography in the 1970s and took a few classes at a community college. Except for travel and humor photography, I lost interest in the 1980s until my discovery of UseFilm. I love looking at photos, in part because they transcend language barriers, and allow the viewer to see the world through someone else's eyes.
My current equipment includes a Nikon FE2 (several fixed and telephoto lenses) and a Canon G2. Many of my travel and humor photos are available at http://community.webshots.com/user/weidnern
I am inspired looking at the work of others at UseFilm, but I am also fascinated with the social networking aspects of Usefilm. For example, how photography and the internet are bringing together people from around the world, and what an individual tells others about him or her self through photography.
