Very nice model, but her expression and her left hand position are not good IMHO.

Hi Fred, I still wasn't here in 1967 (Born 1968), but I think apart from a lot of wiring & a/c there isn't that real much of a difference in Valletta. Regarding the photo, a little PS will get rid of that twig quite easily. I really love your bird photos especially the humming birds. Regards.

Yes it is really pink! Lighting from ring flash and flash white balance selected. No colour adjustment.

In reply to Kelly Anbach: I use the normal bounce flash off the camera hot shoe, and use some aluminium foil to bounce back some light from the opposite direction. Usually I mount the flash on the tripod when alone and hand hold the camera. Works fine for caterpillars & bugs but not for butterflies!!

There is too much wasted on the background of the subject. Something like this:

Subject should be Pets & not wildlife with that Background, speaking of which is not suitable for such a nice bird, or at least should be blurred to become indistiguishable!!

The subject is well light and good d-o-f, but the vertical split in the background (a wall?) is a bit distracting.

Nice original angle, but the shadows are too dark, and as Mark said would still even be better if taken closer! Keep it up.
