About I mentioned in a previous post that I'd post a macro image with natural lighting (underwater shot). When possible I like to get natural light in the composition, so as to further give the feeling of being underwater. However most often than not there is simply not enough light, especially when shooting with tele-macro lenses.

Enjoy & please comment ;-)

Hi Espen

Visited this (and joined Usefilm.com) after reading your posting on the UW Photo mailing list.

Great photo, and really exhibits the point being made.

Great detail! Love everything about this image... sharpness is there, colour is amazing, and background isn't even an issue. Awesome.

Phillip,

The focus is usually done manually, especially when doing closeup. There is a port (for the 105mm) that will allow you to change from manual to autofocus underwater. Wide angle shots are usually autofocus.
At first you might feel liket the veiwfinder is giving you tunnel vision, but with practise you will get a clear view of you subject, even when using a rebreather (which kind of comes in the way when you're looking into the veiwfinder.).
The f90 housing comes with an eyepiece that screws into the camera aiding veiwing.

Another beauty Espen! I guess I will keep my F90X and get an Ikelite case for it, seems like the autofocus really works well, such sharp focus is amazing. Focus is always problem with my Nikonos, by the time you get dialed in the subject is gone.

What do you use for a viewfinder with the N90? do you look through the eyepiece or do you have some other sort of finder?
