Yes, just a stone-throw away from our house, literally down the street. We live in a small suburb called "Irene" and it is just over a century old. It's called a "village" because of the tranquility. When the property planners decided to erect a country lodge just outside Irene's borders, the residents were "up in arms" and we actually went marching in protest to the building site! They assured us that they would pull out all stops to make the architecture blend in with the surrounding and oh boy ... they did! Irene has a lot of stone and most of our boundary walls are erected using this stone. The Lodge did the same. Not only did they do that, but they made this pond/lake too ... it is bordered by grazing fields and the view is just too beautiful :-)
My "Tree" image was taken during the same sunset, at the same pond. I plan to go back there often, particularly when we are in our rainy season (soon) and when we will have many more cloudy days.

Love this picture Linn...I wish I could get still waters like this. I'm near the ocean so the water is always moving with waves. I guess I shouldnt complane because at times waves are dramatic.

Beautiful colours Linn, so warm and tranquil. You would be hard pressed to know when the real thing ended and the reflection began if it weren't for the ripples in the water. Incidently the reflection could be a stand alone watercolour.
