Rebecca, I generally get overseas once or twice a year, sometimes professionally (academic research conferences and such) and sometimes for fun. If the professional travel is in the summer, I can often go a couple of days early to see some sights, get over jet lag, wander around and of course take pictures, as I did in Chile last January. Or my wife may come join me after my work ends, and we tack on a vacation.
Only the photos from Vietnam (vacation) and Chile are from the past year.

Interesting--to me she doesn't look distorted. It could be a combination of an optical illusion from the converging lines, and the way she was caught in mid-step.

Interesting perpective. Don't know whether its intended or not, but the lady crossing the street appears distorted. Nice composition though.

Very neat perspective. You've been all over the world! One from France and Spain tonight. I envy that. Very nice shot. I always look forward to seeing where you'll go next :)
