About
This series was taken at the 15th annual Pow-Wow hosted at the Schingoethe Center for Native American Cultures at Aurora (Illinois) University. Over 100 dancers from all over the midwest competed in various age groups and dance styles.
The sky were pretty grey on Sunday afternoon, but the brilliant colors of the dancers' outfits still came out well. Hope you enjoy the shots as much as we enjoyed the live performances. More information about the pow-wow at http://www.aurora.edu/museum/powwow.htm.
Picture details: Aperture: f11, shutter: 1/125s, focal length: 210mm, no flash, no tripod.
Once UF lets me (I guess I already had my three uploads during the last 24 hours), I will post a few more pow-wow pictures. I have some great dance shots that will show even better how beautiful and colorful the outfits in the ?Fancy Dance? category are (both for male and female dancers).
BTW. You posted a few great Chicago shots from your last trip. Any more coming?
